A Fistful of Guinness Poster

This is a fascinating "Guinness" Quad-sized poster, obviously designed to spoof a double-bill cinema poster. The two films "plagiarised" are "A Fistful of Dollars" (1964) & "A Cold Wind In August" (1961). Guinness had a long track-record of using humour in its advertising campaigns (i.e., the famous "Toucan" series of ads). In 1974, Guinness had a tie-in with the latest James Bond film, "The Man With The Golden Gun" & the poster here is in a similar vein, the "cinema" poster being modified to incorporate the Guinness product. To lend further authenticity, the double-bill poster here was illustrated by the well-known poster artist Mike Vaughan (for further information see "British Film Posters" by Sim Branaghan). The poster here also dates from 1974.

The poster remains in superb unfolded condition.
