Casino Royale Poster

An original French poster (27"x 30") for this 1967 Bond spoof.

When Charles Feldman, the owner of the rights to Ian Fleming's first novel "Casino Royale", failed to form an agreement with regular Bond Producers, Albert Broccoli & Harry Saltzman (Eon Productions), the decision was taken to make the film as a spoof of the Bond genre. What finally emerged reflected the chaotic nature of the times being a bewildering potpourri of the great & the good, joyfully abandoning themselves to a byzantine script & wholly improbable plot. In the film, James Bond was played by David Niven but in an attempt to hoodwink the adversaries at SMERSH, 6 other Bond doubles were created, one being Peter Sellers.

For an idea of relative value, at the time of listing, this poster was also available via ebay at $695.

The poster remains in excellent condition.
