Germans Rush Troops From Poland Poster

An original Evening News Newspaper Stand Poster (20"x 30") dated 8th September ie, just one week after the start of the War. A fascinating headline, this refers to an early French incursion over the border into the Saarbrucken region of Germany. In response, the Germans diverted troops from the Polish campaign to counter the French threat. In the event, the French only pushed several miles across the border, testing German defences & after minor skirmishes, withdrew. Such news, however, would have provided an early (& illusory) confidence boost to the British public. A fascinating early piece of WWII Memorabilia. This piece has been professionally cleaned & Paper-Backed
