Poster for this 1954 Italian Crime Thriller with artwork credited to Rosemary Pryer. This poster represents a rare example of a British cinema poster illustrated by a female artist. Unlike London Transport that used female artists extensively throughout from the 1920's onwards, the world of British cinema poster design & illustration was dominated by men. The exploding heart (top left) & lurid red lip-stick, highlights the femme-fatale nature of the film.

This UK 1-Sheet has unusually escaped machine-folding & remains in excellent unfolded condition. The poster will be sent rolled in a tube. An excellent example of a British 1950's poster for a continental pot-boiler!
