For A Few Dollars More Poster

Poster for the 2nd in the trilogy of Clint Eastwood spaghetti westerns ("A Fistful of Dollars" 1964, "For A Few Dollars More" 1965 & "The Good, The Bad & The Ugly" 1966). These were the films that catapulted Clint Eastwood to global popularity & that created a genre of films, a slew of copycat westerns emanating from Spain & Italy over the next decade. This is the 1st release poster (the re-release poster features a reduced artwork & colour palette).

Though distributed by United Artists, we have been unable to verify the poster artist here. Clearly the poster has borrowed from the American 1-sheet design (shown courtesy of emovieposter.com) but the Quad gives equal billing to the evil looking Lee Van Cleef.

The example here has old tape damage to corners (including very slight paper loss), plus some old tape staining/nicks to edges etc. These areas have been repaired with conservation tape to preserve the poster. It could be further improved with backing & conservation but can be displayed to very good effect just as it is.

NB. Due to the value of this item a supplementary P&P charge will be required for overseas buyers.
