Get Carter Poster

UK Quad cinema poster for the iconic British gangster film starring Michael Caine "Get Carter" (1971).

Filmed in & around Newcastle, this is regarded by many as the premier film of the British gangster genre. The poster illustration by Putzu depicts Caine in a psychedelic jacket which he never wears in the film & at first sight seems bizarre given the gritty nature of the production. We've seen some interesting theories about this but Putzu has simply picked up on the patterned bedspread which Ms Ekland writhes on whilst enjoying phone sex with Caine! This is one of the top collectable Michael Caine posters & an excellent example of Putzu's fine artistry too. This particular poster is for an ABC cinema chain release.

Poster folded but subsequently rolled & will be sent rolled in a tube. Poster in very good overall condition. There are two neat pin-holes to each corner, a few tiny edge nicks (longest 1/4" bottom right rim) & some light creasing. This poster is a scarce un-backed/un-restored example & will NOT be discounted & is priced in accordance with condition.
