The Beast With A Milion Eyes Poster

UK Quad cinema poster for the American horror-scifi film "The Beat With A Million Eyes" (1955).

This low-budget B-movie has an important place in the scifi canon of films. It was one of Roger Corman's earliest films (as producer & co-director) & was released by American Releasing Company the immediate forerunner of the very influential AIP. like many similar films, the advertising campaign over-reached, the multi-eyed monster shown on the poster not actually seen in the film (the alien best took control of other animals & effectively saw through their eyes). This was also the first such film to feature normal animals (including birds) attacking humans & is noted for pre-dating Hitchcock's "The Birds" (1963) by eight years.

The Quad poster takes its lead from the American poster campaign devised by Albert Kallis (US 1-Sheet shown courtesy of emovieposter) showing the non-existent multi-eyed beast! The Quad is far scarcer than the corresponding US 1-Sheet.

Poster folded with a few tiny edge nicks, light creasing & some slight foldline wear (minor conservation tape repairs to the reverse to stabilise). Overall the poster remains in excellent condition & displays very well. This is a rare Quad title for an important early horror-scifi movie.
