A Clockwork Orange Poster
A really interesting piece of original "A Clockwork Orange" (1971) memorabilia, this being a half-page ad for the film in an edition of the Los Angeles Free Press underground counter-culture magazine, Vol 8 #52, 24th Dec 1971 (the whole 40-page magazine is being sold)
The ad shows a notorious scene being filmed with Kubrick pictured with a hand-held camera. It is highly unlikely that any mainstream cinema magazine would have published a shot like this, denoting the radical anti-establishment nature of the LA Free Press.
The ad also provides a roll-call of previous Kubrick successes including "2001 A space Oyssey" (1968), "Dr Strangelove" (1964), "Lolita" (1962) & "Paths of Glory" (1957). In addition, to the reverse is a half-page ad for the newly released
"Dirty Harry" (1971) showing the distinctive
Bill Gold artwork & for
Beatles fans there is also a full-page ad for the
John Lennon single release of "Happy Xmas"!Magazine slightly "yellowed" with age but overall in very good condition. A really interesing piece of
"Clockwork Orange"- Kubrick memorabilia (other examples of this underground magazine currently available on
https://www.rockpopmem.com/)
