A Day Of Violence Poster

Rare UK Quad sized poster for the British horror film "A Day of Violence" (2010) with suitably grisly artwork by the doyen of British horror film artwork, Graham Humphreys & autographed to the reverse by the director Darren Ward.

This indepedent film from Giallo Films, featured "very strong language, strong bloody violence and strong sex". The film was low-budget (Humphreys was never paid) & did not have a cinema release (it went straight to DVD - see image attached). Although the print quality of this Quad is sharp, detailed & entirely equivalent to cinema Quads, it comes with a white paper backing. It is to this reverse that the director has signed & dedicated the poster to the original buyer who confirmed that he purchased the poster from the director at an event. So although the Humphreys artwork was delivered for a Quad poster, only a tiny number of bespoke "Quads" were created & these for sale at a single event. This is therefore a rare poster & we can find no evidence of any other having appeared in the market previously.

Although there are various Graham Humphreys Quad posters that command much higher prices than this "A Day of Violence" poster (ie, "Nightmare On Elm Street", "Evil Dead" etc), technically this poster is far rarer than these. An interesting & exciting find for any Graham Humphreys "completist".

Poster unfolded, single-sided & with "wrinkling" to the reverse which does not show through to the front. The poster remains in excellent display condition.
