Alligator Poster

UK Quad Style-A cinema poster for the American B-movie horrior film "The Alligator" (1980).

An interesting semi-humorous caricature illustration of the dreaded beast, this & the Style-B Quad (image shown courtesy of emovieposter) were both by the British artist, Bob Gibson. Gibson was paid £250 each for these commissions & interestingly Tom Chantrell contributed concept art for both too (he was paid £75 each for both). Gibson is perhaps best known for his "House of The Long Shadows" (1983) Quad but was also an accomplished caricature artist with an interesting connection to The Beatles too: https://www.lambiek.net/artists/g/gibson_bob.htm

Poster folded with creasing to bottom rim & several small conservation tape repairs here. Overall in good condition.
