Cattle Annie and Little Britches

Concept artwork (23"x 33") by Vic Fair for the little-known film "Cattle Annie and Little Britches" (1980).

This coming-of-age western was dropped by Universal & enjoyed only a limited release this despite a really interesting cast including the likes of Diane Lane, Scott Glenn, John Savage, Burt Lancaster, Amanda Plummer, Rod Steiger etc. Although certified by the BBFC in the UK any cinema viewings would have been scarce, the film subsequently released on video in 1981.

Fair's concept composition is mixed media piece including painted art, ink drawing & pencil. The two lead women are fully painted. All elements from this landscape poster (including the clever "rope" title script") appear on both the UK 1-Sheet poster https://www.moviepostermem.com/Cattle-Annie-and-Little-Britches-Poster/59064 & the video cover for the film. The artwork has been applied to sections of paper loosely affixed to a paper back. The artist has signed the artwork in the bottom corner. The artwork will be sent rolled in a tube.
