Clockwise

Original Vic Fair concept artwork (14 1/2"x 21 1/2") for the John Cleese comedy "Clockwise" (1986).

It is a pity that Fair was unable to further develop this concept as it would have undoubtedly resulted in a more interesting poster than the finished article shown for reference, this an unambitious photographic composition (image courtesy of emovieposter). Fair's artwork is a mixed media piece (pastel, watercolour, ink) on card which has been laid onto a black paper backing with a photo-mechanical cut-out script pasted below. Another good example of the artist's inventive design!
