Darker Than Amber Poster

UK Quad cinema poster for the crime-drama "Darker Than Amber" (1970) with poster illustration by Tom Chantrell.

Set in Florida this was a tough film with the early staged fight scene between Rod Taylor & William Smith actually becoming real & resulting in broken bones (ribs & a nose!). Though an American production, British actress Suzy Kendall also co-starred. Interestingly a "full-colour" double-bill poster was also printed (see the attached for reference). Although some films were later re-released as double-bills, it was often the case that a film could be released either on a standalone basis or as part of a package deal & since distributors could earn more by selling two films together, a slightly more expensive (ie, colourful) poster could be justified. Regardless, this is a relatively scarce Chantrell Quad title.

Poster folded with minor corner damage but overall in very good condition.
