Doctor Zhivago Poster

UK first release Quad cinema poster for "Doctor Zhivago" (1965).

A beautiful piece of artwork illustrates this first release poster for the 1965 classic starring Omar Sharif & Julie Christie (artwork adapted from Terpning's US campaign work). The later 1970's re-release poster reprised the key artwork but used a predominantly red background as shown below. The first release (full colour) "Doctor Zhivago" poster is far scarcer than the re-release.

Poster folded with creasing to both lower corners, an extra fold 1" in from left rim, multiple pin-holes to corners & a few small conservation tape repairs to edge nicks. Poster priced in accordance with condition.
