Doomwatch Poster

UK Quad first release cinema poster for the Tigon scifi-horror film "Doomwatch" (1972) with poster illustration by Tom Chantrell.

The "Doomwatch" first release Quad is a difficult poster to find & presents some attractive Chantrell illustration too. Usually this poster appears as a double-bill feature with "On Any Sunday". Based on the BBC TV series of the same name (1970-72) "Doomwatch" was made at Pinewood with extensive location filming in Cornwall (Polperro, Mevagissy, Polkerris etc). As identified on our Chantrell website (https://www.chantrellposter.com/Doomwatch-Chantrell-Quad-Poster-(part)-1972-Original/708) the print run for this film was tiny (500 only - try finding another!) & hence Quads for this title are genuinely scarce.

Poster folded with small area of paper loss bottom right corner & several tiny edge nick/crossfold wear conservation tape repairs to the reverse. An inventive piece of poster design & a really hard Chantrell poster to find.
