Drive Poster

A 2018 gallery licenced Alternative Movie Poster (24"x 36") for the Ryan Gosling/Carey Mulligan film "Drive" (2011).

The Mondo & associated Alternative Movie Poster (AMP) movement began in the early 2000's & represents a rejection of the "modern" photo-based design method of producing cinema posters. Mondos & AMP's are cinema posters created as art pieces. Generally these have not been made for film marketing purposes but instead are artistic re-interpretations of both classic vintage films & modern movies. Mondo/AMP posters are exceptionally high quality prints, released in strictly limited numbers (invariably sold out on release) & become instant collectables.

This is an excellent example of the exceptional print quality of Mondo/AMP posters. Here we have a 12-colour screenprint on rose-coloured foil paper. The artist Fernando Reza presents an image of a hammer about to strike a bullet. He incorporates a city skyline along the shaft of the hammer. The coupled flecks in the hammer hint of the relationship tensions in the film. A skilful & intriguing poster design. This poster has no discernible faults & is as close to mint as you will find (we handle these posters with proper conservation quality gloves in order to keep them as pristine as possible). The poster will be sent rolled with protective paper in a sturdy tube. This is a scarce poster & will NOT be discounted.
