Find The Lady Poster

Scarce UK Quad cinema poster for the comedy thriller "Find The Lady" (1956).

Starring Beverley Brooks, Donald Houston & Mervyn Johns the film was an intrigue about a missing grandmother with some light-hearted comedy touches. The poster design clearly emphasis the "thriller" aspect of the film the artwork being particularly good & conjuring a feeling of intrigue & fear. The artist is currently unidentified though there are some similarities with Edward Ardizzone's work for Ealing: "The Magnet" (1950) & "Nicholas Nickleby" https://www.moviepostermem.com/Nicholas-Nickleby-Poster/60744).

The film was also noteworthy for certain members of the supporting cast which included the likes of Nigel Green & Anne Heywood. Although Ms Heywood had appeared as a beauty contestant in the Diana Dors film "Bikini Baby" (1951) she did so using her real name ("Violet Pretty") so "Find The Lady" was the first big screen outing for the reincarnated Anne Heywood.

Poster folded with pin-holes to corners but overall in excellent condition.
