Giant Poster

UK Quad linen-backed poster for the James Dean classic "Giant" (1957).

A powerful poster illustration which incorporates the title into the design & conjures an idea of the great expanses worked by America's cattle ranchers. The design highlights the three leads in the film: Elizabeth Taylor, Rock Hudson & James Dean. This was James Dean's third & final starring role in a film (following "East of Eden" 1955 & "Rebel Without a Cause" 1956) as shortly before filming was completed he crashed his Porsche & killed himself. The untimely demise cemented Dean's place as a youth cult icon.

Poster linen-backed & presents to very well. Prior to being backed the poster was folded with some old tape marks to edges(these now reduced) plus pin-holes to corners/rim & a faint Maltese censor's stamp (map chest 6).
