Goldfinger Poster

A licensed screenprint poster (24"x 36") for the James Bond film "Goldfinger" (1964) by the artist James Rheem Davis.

This poster was commissioned for a special screening of the film at The Colony Theater, Raleigh, North Carolina in 2010. Three variants were printed, silver (20 in the print run), gold (30 in the print run) & purple (40 in the print run) & this example is the scarcest "silver" version. The poster has been signed & numbered by the artist. The print run for these posters was particularly small meaning all variants are scarce. Although this is a relatively "modern" Bond poster (almost 14 years old now) bizarrely fewer of these exist than the original Quads for "Goldfinger"!

This poster is in excellent condition. The poster will be sent rolled with protective paper in a sturdy tube. This is a scarce poster & will NOT be discounted.

The Mondo & associated Alternative Movie Poster (AMP) movement began in the early 2000's & represents a rejection of the "modern" photo-based design method of producing cinema posters. Mondos & AMP's are cinema posters created as art pieces. Generally these have not been made for film marketing purposes but instead are artistic re-interpretations of both classic vintage films & modern movies. Mondo/AMP posters are exceptionally high quality prints, released in strictly limited numbers (invariably sold out on release) & become instant collectables.
