Riding High Poster

UK Quad cinema poster for the Eddie Kidd movie "Riding High" (1981).

Conceived as a vehicle to cash-in on motorbike stuntman Eddie Kidd, the film was helmed by exploitation specialists Michael & Tony Klinger. Apparently two endings were scripted as the climactic jump scene was so dangerous no one could be sure that Kidd would survive (sadly he was later paralysed & brain damaged in an accident in 1996). Though a relatively low-budget film, an impressive musical soundtrack was assembled including an eclectic roster of artists including The Police, Madness, Gary Numan, Zoot Money, Chic & Eddle Kidd himself! (all embazoned on the poster). Interestingly the poster presents a fantasy type image of the motorbike hero.
