Rising Damp Poster

UK Quad unfolded cinema poster for the British comedy "Rising Damp" (1980) the poster coming from the personal collection of the artist responsible for the illustration, Tom Beauvais (a signed letter of authenticity will accompany this piece).

The poster presents some lovely Tom Beauvais illustration for this film spin-off from the hugely successful TV series which ran from 1974-78. The depiction of Rossiter as "Mr Rigsby" is spot on.

Tom Beauvais worked closely with Tom Chantrell at the Allardyce ad agency before setting up his own business, "Chapman-Beauvais" in 1975. Among the vast roster of posters Beauvais created were "Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid (1969), "Fantastic Voyage" (1966), Mad Max (1979) & Zombie Flesh Eaters" (1980).

Poster in scarce unfolded condition with general creasing, pin-holes to corners, some edge nicks & a little tape to rim reverse etc (this & the other posters we're selling from the Beauvais collection were previously affixed to polyboard for lectures which the artist gave early in his retirement).
