Silent Scream Poster

UK Quad cinema poster for the American slasher horror film "Silent Scream" (1979) with poster illustration by Tom Chantrell.

A bold poster design for this horror film about three college kids in an eerie old mansion. Yvonne de Carlo also appeared. The US advertising campaign focused solely on the screaming mouth (see US 1-Sheet poster for refence - image courtesy of emovieposter). Chantrell's composition, however, provides greater context, the dark blue-green hues adding a sense of forboding & the black outer "dripping" motif reminiscent of Chantrrell's blood-dripping imagery from "Taste The Blood of Dracula" (1970).

Poster folded with light foldline wear & subsequently rolled.
