Split Second Poster

UK Quad poster for the film-noir "Split Second" (1953).

A dramatic poster design for this taught film. The poster design is loosely based on the American poster campaign (see image below courtesy of emovieposter). Paul Kelly plays an escaped convict in the film. Thirty years previously Kelly had resided in San Quentin prison serving a two-year sentence for manslaughter.

Interesting to note the "picture" terminology at the header. In Britain in the 1930s-50's, "the pictures" was an expression commonly used to describe "films", "cinema", "movies" etc.

Poster folded with pin-holes to rim but colours bright & vibrant & overall in very good condition. This is a rare Quad title.
