The Bed Sitting Room Poster

Scarce UK Quad poster for "The Bed Sitting Room" (1969).

Based on a Spike Milligan play & directed by Richard Lester this dark comedy about a post-apocalyptic Britain was understandably surreal. The cast featured some of the best known British character actors & comedians (the order of their names in the opening credits & on the poster set in accordance with their respective heights!). The b/w poster design chimes with the spartan depiction of nuclear ruin. The film was shot on Chesil Beach, china clay pits in Cornwall & a quarry on Chobham Common etc.

The poster has neat pin-holes to corners but otherwise is in excellent condition. This is not a common Quad to see in the market.
