The Big Circus Poster

Original b/w photo (8"x 10") taken inside a Cleethorpes/Grimsby cinema showing a bespoke tie-in display for the film "The Big Circus" (1959).

The display features a Triumph car & a poster on an easel advertising a competition, the star prize being the car! During the 1950's-70's cinema managers were offered a variety of marketing materials. Obviously only larger cinemas had the space/budget for ambitious displays such as this. A fascinating glimpse into the commercial cinema marketing 1950's style.
