The Blue Lagoon Poster

UK Quad linen-backed poster for "The Blue Lagoon" (1949), the film starring Jean Simmons & Donald Houston.

Featuring two children who get shipwrecked on a tropical island, this was a touching coming-of-age romantic adventure. The film was shot in Fiji & was actually a re-make of an earlier 1923 film ("Blue Lagoon" was subsequently re-made in 1980 with Brooke Shields reprising the Jean Simmons role). The film captured public attention & was one of the commercial hits of 1949 in the UK.

The poster has been linen-backed with touch-ins to foldline wear & now displays in excellent condition. This is a 1940's Quad that is not often available.
