The Man With The Golden Gun Poster

A highly unusual and rare "Guinness" sponsored "The Man With The Golden Gun" James Bond poster (1974).

The poster states "See Guinness as featured in The Man With The Golden Gun starring 007", the zeros in 007 being Guinness logos. Underneath is the text "Guinness made on location at.." with various international centres listed. The poster utilises the standard Robert McGinnis poster artwork but the hand in the foreground is holding a glass of Guinness rather than a golden bullet!

Though merchandising/sponsorship was present at the start of the Bond phenomenon, TMWTGG was the first Bond film to exploit the practice widely (apart from Guinness, Thai Airways, DuPont, Premium Bonds and others, all developed specific Bond marketing campaigns associated with the film).

This particular poster (15"x 20") was printed in a limited run in the UK by Clarkes New Press Ltd and is extremely scarce. It is in excellent condition and would make a fascinating addition to any Bond collection and indeed must be one of the rarer items of Guinness memorabilia too.
