The Night They Raided Minsky's Poster

This film marked an attempt by Norman wisdom to break into the American market & this light-heated comedy about the "invention" of striptease is not without merit. Swede Britt Ekland played an innocent Amish girl who stumbles into burlesque dancing with revealing consequences! The poster art by Frazetta is interesting in that the 3 main characters (Robards, Wisdom & Ekland are hardly distinguishable from the mass of others. This may have been that none of the 3 was particularly high profile in the States but irrespective, the design conjures very effectively a sense of fun & frolics.
