US 1-Sheet linen-backed movie poster for "The Sting" (1973) the film starring Robert Redford & Paul Newman.

Richard Amsel's stylish composition features the two likeable rogues played by Redford & Newman. The film was a huge success garnering ten Oscar nominations, winning seven including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Writing, Best Music etc. A quintessential 1970's movie poster. Poster once folded but now linen-backed. Prior to backing the poster was in very good condition. There have been some minor touch-ins to the foldlines & the poster displays to superb effect. For an idea of relative value the London gallery price for a similar linen-backed poster is £750 (map chest 7).
