UK Quad cinema poster for the British comedy "The Wildcats of St Trinian's" (1980).

The film was an attempt to re-boot the successful "St Trinian's" series that witnessed four films 1954-66. The series were inspired by the cartoons of Ronald Searle whose graphics adorned the posters for the original films. In a nod to his legacy, the 1980 poster carries an example of Searle's artistry displayed on the easel on the poster.

"Wildcats" had an interesting cast of veteran actors & upcoming talent including the likes of Sheila Hancock, Michael Hordern, Rodney Bewes, Julia Mckenzie, Maureen Lipman, Luan Peters, Debbie Linden, Frances Ruffelle, Lisa Vanderpump etc.

Poster in excellent folded condition. For an idea of relative value, the London gallery price for this Quad at the time of listing was £250 (map chest).
