Waterworld Poster

A privately commissioned 2021 AMP poster (24"x 36") for Kevin Costner's "Waterworld" (1995) by the artist Tom Coupland.

In keeping with similar "Fan Art" projects, this private commission was a strictly limited print run, in this case of just 55 posters. The poster is an amazing 17-colour screenprint (a highly complex printing) laid to Legion Colorplan China White Specialist Paper. The poster colours are as bright & vibrant as shown (NO PhotoShop enhancement used!). The poster has been numbered in the bottom right corner.

This poster is in near mint condition. The poster will be sent rolled with protective paper in a sturdy tube. This is a scarce poster & will NOT be discounted.

The Mondo & associated Alternative Movie Poster (AMP) movement began in the early 2000's & represents a rejection of the "modern" photo-based design method of producing cinema posters. Mondos & AMP's are cinema posters created as art pieces. Generally these have not been made for film marketing purposes but instead are artistic re-interpretations of both classic vintage films & modern movies. Mondo/AMP posters are exceptionally high quality prints, released in strictly limited numbers (invariably sold out on release) & become instant collectables.
