World In My Corner Poster

UK Quad cinema poster for the film-noir "World In My Corner" (1956).

This boxing themed drama starred Audie Murphy in one of the very few films he made that were non-westerns. The poster carries a reference to his previous film "To Hell And Back" (1955), this also a non-western ("To Hell And Back" was a WWII film & based on the true story of Audie Murphy who was America's most decorated soldier in the war, Murphy modestly playing himself in the film!). Although at first glance the poster images of Murphy & Babara Rush appear to be photographic these are actually photo images which have been heavily adapted with painted artwork (note the hair in particular).

Poster folded with light foldline wear, a couple of small edge tears (longest 1 1/4") & light creasing etc. "World In My Corner" is a scarce film-noir Quad title which is rarely seen in the market.
