Scarce UK Quad cinema poster for the rom-com "You Can't Sleep Here" (1949) aka "I Was A Male War Bride", starring Cary Grant & Ann Sheridan.

Filmed in post-war West Germany & telling the story of a French officer (Grant) who falls for & marries a female US officer (Sheridan) & then has to be smuggled back to the US as an army "bride", the film was a commercial success. Filming was problematic during a freezing winter in Germany when both leads became ill & time was needed for Cary Grant to put weight back on!

Poster folded with paper loss to central crossfold, light corner damage, fraying to bottom left rim etc but this is a scarce 1940's Quad poster.
