2001 A Space Odyssey Poster

UK Quad cinema poster for Stanley Kubrick's Oscar winning visual tour-de-force "2001 A Space Odyssey" (1968) this being the Style-A Quad design.

In a nice touch artist Bob McCall depicts the departing spaceship carrying a "PAN AM" airlines logo. Given the insignificant size, it is likely this was a tongue-in-cheek gesture by McCall rather than evidence of product placement (sadly "PAN AM" didn't make it to 2001 going bust in 1991). Poster in good un-restored condition with minor bleed-through tape stains to corners & mid-upper rim from the reverse, tiny slither of paper loss to upper right corner, crease bottom left corner & a few tiny edge nicks. These are not major issues (& could be restored if required) & the poster displays to very good effect "as is". However, this poster has been priced in accordance with condition (at the time of listing a linen-backed example was on offer via a gallery at £2,975).
