Bonnie and Clyde Poster

UK Quad linen-backed cinema poster for the film about the 1930's bank robbers "Bonnie And Clyde" (1967).

"Bonnie And Clyde" was an important film, effectively heralding the advent of "New Hollywood". The film challenged old taboos by celebrating anti-heroes & depicting graphic violence. Although set in the early 1930's, "Bonnie and Clyde" had clear resonance with the emerging late 1960's counter-culture scene too. A Quad Advance & an alternative General Release Quad were also issued for this film but it is the full colour Tom Chantrell artwork version shown here which is by far & away the most sought after poster of the three.

Poster once folded but now linen-backed. Prior to backing, the poster had some small edge tears/chips, foldline wear etc. These defects have been closed & minimised but there has been no over-painting restoration so although the poster displays to excellent effect, it is essentially in its original condition. An increasingly difficult poster to find.

NB. A supplementary P&P charge will be required for overseas buyers (O).
