US 1-Sheet conservation paper-backed US 1-Sheet movie poster for the Oscar blazing "Cabaret" (1972).

The playful poster design by Joseph Caroff creates a poster that can be displayed both portrait & landscape style. The Bob Fosse musical was set in pre-war Berlin & starred Liza Minnelli. The film was nominated for ten Oscars & swept to victory in ten categories including Oscars for "Best Actress", "Best Director", "Best Cinematography", "Best Sound" etc. A huge hit & with a classy poster too! Poster originally folded but now backed. There have been light touch-ins to the foldlines but little else required. There is a little "mottling" just under the text "Life Is A.." which may be an original print fault but this is fairly unobtrusive (please see the close-up where we have tried to highlight this).
