Carry On Cruising Poster

UK Quad cinema poster for the British comedy "Carry On Cruising" (1962).

Although an early "Carry On" film this was the sixth film in the series. As such, the poster designer (currently unknown) did not bother to depict the leading cast members (Sid James, Kenneth Williams, Kenneth Connor etc) as these characters were already well known. Instead we are offered the sight of an alluring mermaid reflecting the nautical theme of the comedy & beckoning prospective punters to step inside. The colourful nature of the poster was particularly apt as this was the first of the Carry On's to be filmed in colour!

The poster is a rare unrestored example with some pin-holes to corners/rim and a couple of tiny conservation repairs to the reverse but overall
