Holiday On The Buses Poster

UK Quad cinema poster for "Holiday On The Buses" (1973) with poster art by Arnaldo Putzu.

In a late attempt to diversify away from their staple of sex & gore horror films, Hammer released three "On The Buses" films (1971-73). These films were based on the successful TV comedy series (1969-73), starring Reg Varney, Doris Hare, Stephen Lewis, Michael Robbins etc, "Holiday On The Buses" being the last in the trilogy.

Arnaldo Putzu was a good choice to illustrate the Quad posters for the series, his parallel tongue-in-cheek caricature work for the "Carry On" franchise, mining a similar vein of "nudge-nudge-wink-wink" humour.

Poster folded with several tiny edge nicks (mostly to upper rim) & a single crossfold pin-hole but overall in very good condition. The "On The Buses" posters used to be fairly common but all are now relatively scarce, particularly "Holiday On The Buses".
