Carry On Spying Poster

An original "Carry On Spying" (1964) Campaign Book (12-pages plus insert).

There has been some confusion in the market about the UK poster design for "Carry On Spying" with some believing that Chantrell's design was changed from "straight gun barrel" to "bent gun barrel" following objections from the James Bond production company ("Carry On Spying" was an obvious spoof of the Bond genre). However, this Campaign Book disproves this & provides corroboration that the first design was indeed "bent" NOT "straight" (Campaign Books like this were distributed well in advance of the cinematic release). We can also point to the original surviving Chantrell Quad artwork for the film which is in the Chantrell archive as this too presents a "bent" barrel image.
