UK Quad linen-backed cinema poster for the Tigon sex-comedy "Come Play with Me" (1977) with fabulous poster illustration by Tom Chantrell.

Probably the most famous of all 1970's British sex film posters, illustrated in characteristically teasing style by Chantrell. This was the film that confirmed Mary Millington's status as the number one sex symbol in this particular genre of cinematic entertainment. Although the film was determinedly "low brow" it was very successful at the box office. Like many other similar British films of the time, "Come Play With Me" featured an eclectic cast of familiar British character actors together with an array of attractive women such as Mary Millington, Suzy Mandel, Anna Bergman & Sue Longhurst.

Once Chantrell turned freelance in 1972 he often illustrated posters for sex-comedy's such as this but this particular illustration is regarded as his best for this genre & this plus the presence of Mary Millingtom makes this a very collectable poster. Poster once folded but now linen-backed. The poster was in superb condition prior to backing & no restoration was required. Probably as near perfect an example of this poster as you are likely to find.
