Death On The Nile Poster

US 1-Sheet linen-backed movie poster for "Death On The Nile" (1978) with Richard Amsel poster illustration.

Based on the Agatha Christie novel, the film starred Peter Ustinov as a the super sleuth " Hercule Poirot". Like it's immediate predecessor "Murder On The Orient Express" (1974), the film carried a star-studded cast featuring also Mia Farrow, Bette Davis, Simon MacCorkindale, Angela Lansbury, David Niven, Maggie Smith, Harry Andrews etc. Richard Amsel was again chosen to provide artwork for the poster campaign & delivered a poster in similar style to that used for "Murder On..": a 1930's retro design, featuring key characters from the ensemble cast all set against a black background. Poster once folded but now linen-backed with minor touch-ins to foldlines, with an old residual crease to bottom left corner & overall in very good condition.
