Based on the Agatha Christie novel, the film starred Albert Finney as the detective "Hercule Poirot" with a star-studded cast of supporting actors including the likes of Ingrid Bergman, Lauren Bacall, Sean Connery, John Gielgud, Anthony Perkins, Vanessa Redgrave, Jacqueline Bisset, Richard Widmark etc. The film was both a commercial & critical success being rewarded with six Oscar nominations, Ingrid Bergman winning the Oscar for "Best Supporting Actress". Befitting a film set in the 1930's & with an ensemble star cast, Amsel provided a retro-design with a montage of the key characters.
