US 1-Sheet linen-backed poster for "Flash Gordon" (1980) with fabulous Richard Amsel poster illustration.

Amsel superbly captures the kitsch essence of the film. The Queen soundtrack bolstered the films popularity on release & Amsel's illustration has inspired many Mondo/AMP artists in subsequent years. A really popular film & collectable poster.

Poster folded with faint scratch lower right corner prior to backing & appears to have been in very good condition. The only restoration appears to be touch-ins to the foldlines & the poster presents to excellent effect (map chest 7).
