Forever Amber
Original Storyboard painted gouache artwork (9 1/2"x 12 1/2") for a scene from the Otto Preminger period drama "Forever Amber" (1947).
The artwork appears to show one of the piviotal scenes towards the end of the film, "The Great Fire" of London (1666). Pre-computer graphics etc, key cinematic scenes would be Storyboard painted to provide cast/crew directions for how the film should be staged & shot. "Forever Amber" starred Linda Darnell, Cornel Wilde, Richard Greene & George Sanders.
The artwork is card mounted (16"x 20" overall) & carries embossed tape to the lower rim reading "Forever Amber", "Storyboard" & "Fox Studio 1947". To the reverse is further written text including "EXT, "Plume Of Feathers (Night, Smoke)" & "Scene 269 - "Forever Amber". An interesting & rare piece of 1940's original Hollywood movie artwork.
