Funny Girl Poster

US 1-Sheet linen-backed movie poster for the Barbara Streisand musical "Funny Girl" (1969) with poster illustration by Bob Peak & Hal Stubis.

Several US 1-Sheet variants were produced for this film (images attached courtesy of emovieposter). Both the Style-A & Style-B versions carry added "Oscar" references but the first poster issued is the one presented here without Oscar text & with the added image of a dancing Barbara Streisand superimposed over the red box graphic. It is possible that this is the "Roadshow" poster as the film was released on 15th January & the Oscars would have followed shortly thereafter. Irrespective, this is the earliest US 1-Sheet for the film & arguably the most appealing of the three.

Poster once folded but now linen-backed. It appears to have been in excellent order prior to backing with a very faint mark to upper right & requiring only minor touch-ins to the foldlines. Poster presents in excellent condition & is another poster that is not often available in the UK market.
