Gangland Poster

Scarce unfolded UK Quad poster for "Gangland: The Verne Miller Story" (1987), the poster by Chantrell.

This is a later period Chantrell poster, the composition being mostly photographic. This is a good example of the shift away from the traditional method of cinema poster design, from painted composition to photographic/computer design. Within four years, the vast bulk of UK Quads were created in the "modern" style forcing great commmercial artists like Chantrell into retirement. Chantrell was paid £270 for this commission & the print run for this title was 2,500.

The poster remains in excellent unfolded condition.
