Get Carter Poster

German pressbook poster (16 1/2"x 23 1/2") for the Michael Caine British gangster classic "Get Carter" (1971).

Forming one complete side of the German pressbook, this image of Caine as "Jack Carter" is rare (we can't find another example being used worlwide currently). In keeping with the gritty nature of the film, the image of Caine is dark & threatening. The one concession to colour (the lurid pink tie) perhaps pays homage to the Putzu Quad poster design which depicted Caine in "flower-power" glory (see image attached for reference) - the main German poster campaign also used this Putzu artwork. With the pressbook poster are two separate inserts, one showing the German advertising materials available & a synopsis/cast/credits foldout.
