Henry VIII (Stage) Poster

An interesting extremely early piece of Laurence Olivier memorabilia, this being an original theatre programme for a "Henry VIII" (1925).

Olivier was invited to join Sybil Thorndike's company in 1925 as a bit-part player & assistant stage manager. Olivier can be found fourth from bottom of the male cast list playing the "First Serving-Man". We believe that this role was Olivier's first in the West End & aged only 18 this was right at the start of what would become a brilliant career on both the stage & screen!

Programme with rusty staplesbut otherwise in good clean condition.
