I Believe In You Poster

UK 1-Sheet poster for the Ealing drama "I Believe In You" (1952).

The film was one of the social conscience productions Ealing favoured alongside their classic comedy films in the 1950's, in this case "I Believe In You" focusing on the work of the London Probation Service. The film was noteworthy for introducing two new young talents, Laurence Harvey & in her "breakthrough" role Joan Collins. Although only sixth on the bill, Collins features prominently on the poster.

The poster presents very well but has old tape to foldlines to the reverse including a few small later conservation tape repairs. In keeping with other examples seen in the market, the poster carries a Canadian censor's stamp to Ms Collins cleavage. This is a scarce poster & a key piece of memorabilia from Joan Collins long career.
