Rare UK Double-Crown cinema poster for "Jaws" (1975) presenting the iconic shark imagery of Roger Kastel.

Double-Crown posters were printed in much smaller quantities than corresponding Quads & are consequently rarer. Roger Kastel's artwork was designed for the US 1-Sheet portrait format. Although it was re-formatted for the landscape Quad we feel it suits the portrait orientation of the DC better. Roger Kastel's simple but stark "Jaws" imagery is one of the most recognisable of all 1970's poster designs. It was perhaps influenced by the earlier poster campaign for "Deliverance" (1972) the shotgun being switched for the shark (see image attached).

Poster with four horizontal foldlines & some other lateral creases plus a tiny 1/8" nick to lower left rim. However, colours bold & vibrant & poster 100% complete & in original un-restored condition. Should someone wish to have the poster backed the creasing/folds could be flattened out.
